I grew up in New Boston, a small town in East Texas, and I’m a proud graduate of Texas public schools and Texas A&M University (Whoop!). My parents inspired me to serve. My mom, a church pianist and substitute teacher, and my dad, a Baptist minister, gave their talents to ensure people felt cared for and supported.
Now, as a wife, mom to GISD students, and someone who has an extensive background in education, I’m ready to serve my community and ensure that my children, and all GISD children, receive a high-quality education.
 
I began my career as a middle school science teacher and now work with district leaders and superintendents across Texas. I’ve seen what makes school districts thrive and understand how school boards and superintendents can work together to create real change for students and staff.
 I love this work. I love our community. And I would be honored to serve as your School Board representative for Place 2.

As our community grows, it’s more important than ever to ensure that our schools are the best in Texas. Every student, no matter their background, deserves a high-quality education where academic success and positive experiences go hand in hand.

As a connected parent, community volunteer, and non-profit board member, I’m committed to strengthening GISD’s ties with the community.

With 16 years of experience in public education, working alongside superintendents and senior teams across Texas, I bring a collaborative vision to ensure our schools, families, and community succeed together.
